I am a registered clinical social worker in Ontario, holding a Master degree in Social work with emphasis on addictions and human sexuality. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Prior to becoming a full time clinical social worker, I was a business executive, which gives me insight and allows me to understand the nuances of executive stress and burn out associated with today’s expectations in the work force.
I am an advocator in the community and I interact members of government and challenge them to support the LGBTQ2SI+ community, locally, provincially, and federally. I am working with the City of Pickering to help define what Pickering’s inclusiveness and diversity culture will look like moving forward.
I am a long standing member of the Board of Directors at Famous People Players. Where disabilities become ABILITIES.
I speak at mental health conferences regarding trans advocacy and the barriers facing trans individuals.
I am a proud parent of 4 children, with my partner of over 25 years. We have lived in the Durham region for over 20 years and I am proud and honoured to bring needed services into our city.
